St. Anthony Hospital serves as the area’s largest regional hospital, supplying Pendleton and its surrounding area with advanced healthcare for over a century. Using only the most comprehensive, up-to-date care and equipment, St. Anthony assures its patient base with the highest quality in healthcare options.
Organized in 1901, the hospital has seen its fair share of changes over the years. Getting its start as a 40-bed facility, St. Anthony has endured three significant construction projects and a complete razing of the original hospital in 1962. Today, the hospital stands as a 49-bed facility dedicated to meeting all of the needs of its patients and the community at-large.
St. Anthony is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals (JCAHO), and, most recently, received a Three-Year Approval with Commendation for its cancer program by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons (January of 2008).
The area is well-served by multiple private practitioners in a variety of specialties, in addition to offering complete inpatient and outpatient diagnostic care and a day-surgery facility. Pendleton’s wide scope of local professionals provide healthcare options ranging from dental, optometry and family practice to massage therapy and home health services, as well as air ambulance services. Recently added to Pendleton’s already vast collection of medical choices is an Open MRI facility and Urgent Health Clinic.
FITNESS FACILITIES
The Roundup Athletic Club (RAC), the largest athletic club on the eastern side of Oregon, is a modern, multi-purpose club equipped with a 25-meter indoor lap pool, indoor track, full-court gymnasium, racquetball courts, batting cages, sauna and steam rooms and a childcare center. Patrons have access to an extensive array of year-round programming, which includes cardiovascular and strength training programs, group cycling, personal training, children’s summer athletic programs and swimming lessons. Curves and Club 24 are located in Pendleton as well.
