graphicWe wish to acknowledge every individual who helped in any way, large or small, to make Butler County’s 200th birthday celebration a success.

From the volunteers who cut the 200 birthday cakes on March 12 to the companies and organizations who supported our efforts financially, we could not have done it without you. While we cannot possibly mention all of our volunteers by name, this event has certainly proven that Butler County has an over abundance of caring people willing to give of their time and talents for their community.

We should especially acknowledge the current members of the Bicentennial Celebration Committee who worked tirelessly since 1998 to plan a celebration worthy of such a significant birthday. They include:graphic

Dr. Fred Bartok, Butler County Community College
Terry BeCraft, A-K Steel
Bill Cully, United Plate Glass
Linda Harvey, Butler County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism
Vicki Hinterberger, Butler County Radio Network
John Lewis, Butler Health System
Scott Lowe, Video Factory Productions
Dick May, May’s Music Shoppe
Tim Morgus, Maher Duessel
Barry Racey, A-K Steel
John Righetti, Butler Health System
Dr. Warren Smith, Slippery Rock University

We would also like to thank the Butler County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, who served as our management agency and headquarters for the event. Their guidance and administrative support played a key role in the successful development of our activities. Likewise, the Butler County Commissioners provided a great deal of assistance throughout the planning and implementation of the celebration.

Thank you all!
