The Greater DuBois Area, located where Clearfield, Jefferson and Elk Counties meet, has had a rich and influential history, and continues to be a major economic force, due to its sound planning, fortunate geography and dedicated citizens. Originally a coal and timber area, DuBois’ central location has encouraged the growth of its manufacturing, healthcare and retail industries.
