Busy Cultural Schedule

DuBois is host to a busy schedule of cultural events, which showcase the artistic talent and appreciation of the region.

Located in downtown DuBois, the Paul G. Reitz Theater occupies the former Cornerstone Baptist Church, built in 1887, and one of the few buildings to survive the 1888 fire. Directed by Cultural Resources, Inc., the Theater puts on many local and national productions, children’s workshops, and even talent showcases.

Penn State DuBois offers a list of cultural events for students as well as community members at its Hiller Auditorium, including music, dance and lectures. At the DuBois Area High School auditorium, a professional music series performs three times a year, through the Community Concert Association.

A new amphitheatre provides entertainment of all kinds in the DuBois Memorial Park. The Edward V. Cherry Amphitheatre compliments the other activities of wonderful community life that is enjoyed by so many.
