State-of-the-Art Medical Care
As one of the region’s leading industries, the healthcare facilities in the DuBois area excel when it comes to expert care and state-of-the-art facilities. The DuBois Regional Medical Center has just completed a $22 million expansion project, which added a new wing that includes remodeled radiology suites, an additional catheter lab, and an open MRI to supplement the closed MRI. In addition, a second heart surgeon and a neurosurgeon join the staff, further adding to the advanced surgery services.
The DRMC is recognized as one of the nation’s top hospitals in both financial and clinical performance, and is rated as one of the best 100 places to work in Pennsylvania. Additional clinics are located in Brockway, Curwensville, Force, Penn Township, Reynoldsville and the City of DuBois.
Several other hospitals serve the area, including: Brookville Hospital, Clearfield Hospital, Elk Regional Health Center, and Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
The area is also fortunate to have nursing home facilities for those requiring that extra care. The DuBois Continuum of Care includes the DuBois Nursing Home and DuBois Village Assisted Living, while Christ the King Manor has recently added lovely cottages for their independent dwellers.
