Eastern Montgomery County is ideally located from every perspective. Philadelphia’s exciting cultural attractions, including one of the world’s greatest art museums, are a short drive, and New York and Broadway are just two hours north. Outstanding music, dance and theatre are available right in our own backyard.

Abington Art Center Dedicated to bringing the arts to people of all ages in this suburban Philadelphia region, the Abington Art Center is situated upon a 27-acre campus. Here, patrons can peruse through The Gallery Shop for one-of-a-kind gifts; take part in a number of classes for both youth and adults including painting, drawing, photography, jewelry, ceramics and dance; browse through one of the many diverse exhibitions; or enjoy one of the center’s special events.

Ambler Theater A non-profit community-based organization, the Ambler Theatre affords movie-goers with a unique experience. The old-style architecture of the theater is fused with the newest productions, along with special features including documentaries and foreign films.

Hiway Theatre Built in 1913, the Hiway Theatre stands as a community theatre that, along with playing quality films, is host to a number of special events including the Kids Matinee Series, Classics Series, the Philadelphia Orchestra, Santa at the Hiway, Dessert and Discussion Night, Summer Outdoor Movie, CJHSA Holocaust Film Series and Monthly Film Discussions.

Keswick Theatre The Keswick Theatre, which first opened in 1928 during the vaudeville and big band eras, is still located in the same historic building and has survived two closings over the years. Today, the theatre is one of the most active and diversified venues, presenting nationally and internationally acclaimed performers geared to virtually every taste and interest. Additionally, the theatre presents approximately three-dozen shows each year designed to introduce school children to live theatre.

Cheltenham Art Center Established in 1940, the Cheltenham Art Center strives to promote the arts in the community through guidance in the visual and dramatic arts, along with exhibitions and theatrical performances.

Adults, teens and children can enjoy a number of classes, exhibitions and events at the CAC, a building that has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Settlement Music School The Jenkintown branch of the Settlement Music School provides children and adults in the region with quality instruction and activity in music and the related arts.
