In 1982, developers chose the original site of a well-known Victorian-era amusement park in order to establish a large-scale, indoor retail center. The lively district, supported by the endeavors of the Ambler Main Street organization, showcases distinct, independently owned shops and restaurants, along with movies at the recently restored Ambler Theater and exciting performances by the professional actors at Act II Playhouse.

Keswick Village is another retail attraction discovered in Eastern Montgomery County. A host of fantastic restaurants and shops line its streets, while the nationally acclaimed Keswick Theatre lights up the district with concerts and productions by a wide range of nationally and internationally known performers.
