Senior Living
Eastern Montgomery County values its mature residents and supplies its senior population with a number of services, ranging from assisted living and long-term care to home health and supportive services. The Montgomery County Office of Aging and Adult Services is one resource in the area for seniors, reaching the county’s older and disabled adults through a comprehensive system of services. More than 40,000 mature adults are helped through the agency each year, with a multitude of programs and assistance at hand, including in-home services, senior center services, care management, caregiver support, protective services, adult daily living centers and more.
The Visiting Nurse Association of Montgomery County is another prominent organization dedicated to the area’s senior community, offering a number of home care services including personal care assistance, homemaker services, respite services, companion services, case management services and a senior health specialist program designed for vulnerable elderly and disabled adults, as well as their families.
Leading facilities dedicated to the county’s seniors include Presby’s Inspired Life’s Rydal Park, Brandywine Senior Living’s Dresher Estates and Sunrise Assisted Living’s Sunrise of Abington and Sunrise of Jenkintown. Coming soon to the area are the Salba Apartments in Jenkintown and Parkside at Rydal Park, which will feature 45 comfortable apartments — both options are communities under operation by Presby’s Inspired Life.
