William Penn promoted a guarantee of religious liberty before sailing to the new land of Pennsylvania.
This doctrine of religious tolerance is a testimony to the great diversity of faith in this region.
There are a wide range of faith traditions represented throughout Eastern Montgomery County.
Some of the faiths represented include Protestant, Episcopalian, Quaker, Presbyterian, Ukranian, Roman Catholic, Methodist, Jewish, Church of the New Jerusalem, Lutheran and Baptist — among others.
Each organization impacts the quality of life for everyone in a positive way by encouraging participation with each other in numerous charitable events and volunteer work to benefit the entire community.
