Though the Exton Region was once a predominantly agriculture-based community, it has since transformed into a vibrant and prosperous business center. More than 6,000 businesses call this area home and represent a variety of industries including technology, pharmaceutical, retail, and service. Part of the success of the business sector can be attributed to the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce. Through innovative programs and services, the Chamber actively supports and promotes the growth of area businesses.
A mix of corporate parks and mixed-used developments give businesses a variety of choices in location. Traditional corporate and office parks are available and newly-developed “live-work” facilities incorporate office space with town home space in one unit, eliminating the need for a commute.
Agriculture is also still a part of the Exton Region’s business mix. Grapes for wine, vegetables, and apples are among the harvests of the area.
