Higher Education
Lebanon Valley College offers a wide variety of academics and degrees. Study abroad and other special programs are available in cooperation with hospitals and other universities. LVC has been academically ranked by U.S. News & World Report’s annual “America’s Best Colleges” issue as number one in the north in the “Great Schools, Great Prices” category among “Best Baccalaureate Colleges.”
Harrisburg Area Community College has campuses in Lebanon and five other cities. The school is local, affordable and offers high-quality learning experiences. A variety of certificate and degree programs are available, and HACC also has partnerships with many four-year schools.
Many other prestigious colleges and universities are within an easy drive of the Lebanon Valley. These include Franklin and Marshall College, Elizabethtown College, York College of Pennsylvania, Dickinson College, and Millersville University.
The Arc of Dauphin and Lebanon Counties is a not-for-profit organization designed to provide opportunities for developmentally disabled people of all ages. The Arc offers programs in educational, vocational, recreational and critical life skills. Their goal is to ensure a quality of life that “promotes independence, self-determination, and participation as productive members of society.”
