Lower Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is bounded by the Delaware River and Trenton, New Jersey, to the east and Philadelphia to the southwest. It is conveniently located between New York City and Washington, D.C.
A number of major highways traverse the county, and major thoroughfares are easily accessible. Interstate 276 runs east and west, and Interstate 95 runs north and south. The PA Turnpike and its Northeast Extension connect Bucks County to other parts of the country. U.S. Routes 1, 13, 309, 313, 611 and 202 cross through the area as well.
Traveling by train is another convenient option; Amtrak’s Keystone route serves the county with stations in Trenton and Philadelphia. South East Pennsylvania Transit Authority (SEPTA) trains run from Bucks County with connections to Philadelphia, the Northeast corridor and beyond. Long-haul freight rail service is offered via Conrail, and the SMS/Penn-Jersey Rail Line and the New Hope- Ivyland Railroad provide local short-haul service.
SEPTA also provides bus and trolley routes through Lower Bucks and other parts of the region. All buses are accessorized with wheelchair lifts or ramps, and most accommodate bicycles as well.
Several major airports are easily reached from Lower Bucks County, including Philadelphia International, Lehigh Valley International and Newark Liberty International. There are also several smaller local airports providing air taxis, charters and private planes. These include Mercer County, Doylestown, Pennridge and Northeast Philadelphia airports.

Especially valued among employees, employers and job-seekers, numerous shuttles along with ride sharing sign-ups are available.
Shipping cargo via water routes is an efficient and often-used choice for business and industry. The Keystone Industrial Port of Bucks County is conveniently located in Falls Township and imports an estimated two million tons of cargo annually. Nearby Philadelphia also offers ports with a great assortment of facilities for importing and exporting.
