The Nazareth Area has strong roots and a proud history dating back to 1740 when Moravians settled the area. There is a firm commitment to family and a strong work ethic. Love of community is ever present and residents strive to maintain the clean, attractive area in which they live.

Given the historic growth rate of the area and the strong commitment of the population to live and raise children in this unique suburban setting, continual growth is anticipated for several years. The combination of a serene, suburban setting with accessibility by both air and highway to major metropolitan areas will continue to attract people to the Boroughs of Bath, Nazareth, Stockertown, Tatamy, the Townships of Bushkill, and Upper and Lower Nazareth.
Although growth may be slowed somewhat by national and state fiscal conditions, the population is expected to increase an additional 10 to 12 percent in the area by 2014.
The Greater Nazareth Area offers living in an environment that is quiet, attractive, and growing. Relocation consultants are available from the Chamber of Commerce and area real estate offices to assist prospective homeowners in bringing their housing search together into a meaningful strategy. Their focus is upon assessing and prioritizing needs and providing a frame of reference to aid in the decision making process.

Additional information, brochures, maps and helpful advice is available at the Nazareth Area Visitors Center. A short video provides an overview of the area and its history. The Chamber of Commerce maintains offices on the second floor of the Visitors Center. Its staff is always willing to answer questions and assist individuals and businesses interested in learning more about the Nazareth Area.
Several private and government retirement facilities are available in the area. These facilities provide healthcare and senior citizen services to those men and women of retirement age. Transportation is available from these facilities. The Nazareth Area Chamber of Commerce will provide information upon request. d
