The Northern Allegheny County Chamber of Commerce was incorporated in 1972. Originally based in the Northland Library, the founding group had 61 members.

By 1997, the Chamber office had been in three different locations and was planning construction of its own building in Wexford Plaza. In January 1998, the official grand opening of the Northern Allegheny County Chamber of Commerce was held. To date, more than 800 member businesses and community businesses enjoy the multitude of benefits and services offered by the Chamber as well as the Northern Allegheny County Business Resource Center.
