Upper Bucks Worship

The Triumph of the Holy Experiment
Pennsylvania was William Penn’s “holy experiment” of religious tolerance, and it seems to have been a successful one. With nearly 50 denominations represented in Upper Bucks County, there is likely to be a channel for almost all worship needs. Since most of the original inhabitants came to the area to avoid persecution, cooperation with and respect for different faiths exists side by side with deep-seated spiritual values. The churches of the county do not relegate themselves to merely Sundays, either: they are an active part of the community, hosting additional worship services and assisting outreach programs all throughout the week.
