chamber meeting

Involvement and Participation are the key words.  You won’t benefit from your Chamber Membership unless you put these two words into action. When you join the Chamber, you become eligible to serve on Chamber committees.  This affords you the opportunity to have your voice heard directly and to help steer the direction in which the Chamber moves.  In addition to the inherent reward of contributing to a civic-minded organization, Chamber committee members say this is the best way to network, promote business and make new friends.

12 Reasons to Join…

Entrepreneurial Assistance

Through its Small Business Advisory Council, The Chamber will convene a panel of experts to counsel current or prospective business owners about the issues or concerns they are facing. This is an invaluable service!  The chamber is also proud to house a satellite office of the Lehigh University Small Business Development Center. A representative is available upon request to provide free counseling to anyone interested in starting a new business or expanding a current one.

Group Health Insurance

A variety of plans are available at association rates, complete with the personalized services of a third party administrator, through independence Blue Cross. Call the Chamber office at 215-536-3211 for more information.

Seminars & Workshops

The chamber is committed to the ongoing professional development of its members. A variety of seminars, workshops and roundtable discussions are offered throughout the year. Recent topics have included Financial Strategies, Quick Books, Building a Better Board, Getting Started in Fund Raising, Increasing Productivity through Effective Communications, Utilizing the Media, Trade Show Preparation, Crisis Communication and much more…

Advertising Promotion

Through its newsletter, Bridges to Business, and monthly Member-to-Member and relocation mailings, the Chamber makes available to you a variety of opportunities to put your message into print. Our mailings hit nearly 1,000 business leaders throughout the region. We randomly feature members in a spotlight profile in each newsletter, along with member-submitted “happenings” in the Business Brief Section.  Opportunities also exist to sponsor Chamber events; to advertise in special publications, such as the membership directory/focus, or to place your literature in the Chamber office. We also make countless referrals every day.

Networking

With 700-plus members, the Upper Bucks Chamber is a prime source for making new contacts. By attending Chamber Functions – whether they be breakfasts or lunches, seminars or mixers, committee meetings or special events – you have an opportunity to network with some of the area’s most successful professionals.

Legislative Voice

The Chamber is your voice and your source for legislative representation. We meet monthly with federal, state and local legislators to promote and protect your interests. Just keep us informed of your issues and concerns and we will make sure you are heard.

Economic Development

When you support the Chamber , you support efforts to attract and retain business in Upper Bucks. We founded Quakertown Alive! And launched the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce Microloan Fund, as well as other economic development initiatives.
