Heaven’s Gate

The pioneers who settled the county more than a century ago brought strong faith and religious beliefs, and it is reflected in the stately and historic houses of worship. Faith remains a big part of community life here. More than 73 churches and a synagogue provide a focal point for faith, family gathering and community service. Nearly every denomination is well represented.
