Business

The industrial presence in Fountain Inn is strong, with many large companies continuously relocating or expanding in the area. The city’s location, which offers close proximity to major airports, highways and one of the most productive ports in the U.S., has proven to be a huge draw for companies. Additional features attracting business to the community is the low cost to do business, a readily available skilled workforce, the availability of excellent educational opportunities through the Greenville County School District and an esteemed technical college and university system, and plenty of room for development, just to name a few.

Fountain Inn is equipped with several industrial parks, with several additional parks in the works. Southchase Industrial Park, situated just off Interstate 385, is a prominent area that currently houses such business powerhouses as Caterpillar, Kyocera Mita, Bic Consumer Products, Pierburg and Grainger.

The city is currently taking on an ambitious master plan to promote economic growth, with updates and new development to Main Street as a top priority. The focus of this extensive plan is to appeal to and bring in new business to the thriving area. The plan also aims to revitalize the city’s parks, business districts and housing developments in order to create a more visually aesthetic community.
