More than 180 local churches provide worship and fellowship for the citizens of Laurens County. Some of the most beautiful and richly historic of the county’s buildings are its churches.
Organized in 1764, Duncan Creek Presbyterian Church is the oldest church in Laurens County. The adjacent cemetery contains the graves of several Revolutionary War soldiers. Other 18th century churches are Old King’s Chapel Methodist Church, organized in 1789, and Liberty Springs Presbyterian Church, organized in 1767.
