Laurens County Arts and Entertainment
Presbyterian College sponsors a variety of lectures, plays, films, art shows, and concerts from September through April. Laurens County Arts Council hosts a spring art show, symphony orchestra performance, workshops and art form classes throughout the year. The Laurens County Chorale offers a spring and winter concert. Laurens County Civic Ballet Company conducts an annual performance designed around children. Laurens County Community Theater offers four to six performances of top-name productions. Clinton High and Thornwell High Schools combine talents to present a top-name play each spring. Laurens District High School also offers a number of musical, choral and theatrical productions during the school year.
Laurens County is within an hour’s drive of the two largest metropolitan areas in the state, Greenville and Columbia, both of which offer a wide variety of fine arts and cultural events.
