Award Winners
STUDENT, TEACHERS HONORED – Ali Rogers of Laurens High School was named the Cecil Davenport Citizenship Award recipient at the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner in January. Rona Neely was honored as the Laurens County School District 56 Teacher of the Year while Thomas Chandler received the same honor for Laurens County School District 55.
SERVICE RECOGNIZED – The 100 Club presented its inaugural PROGRESS service award to Harrison Agnew of Agnew Development Corporation for his dedicated commitment to economic development projects in Laurens County.
AMBASSADOR HONORED – Deb Conrad of BB&T CIC in Laurens was named Ambassador of the Year for her dedicated volunteer service to the Chamber.
SMALL BUSINESS HONORS – Ernie and Gayle Whiteford accepted the Robert M. Vance Small Business of the Year award on behalf of Whiteford’s Giant Burger in Laurens. The business recently celebrated its 50th anniversary.
