MOVING DIRT – Construction began in the spring of 2008 on the long anticipated Wal-Mart Super Center in Laurens. The project, scheduled for completion in early 2009, is expected to spur retail development in the area.
INDUSTRIAL PROGRESS – A number of industries are expanding and experiencing growth in the county.
NEW HOTEL – Construction of a new Comfort Inn and Suites Hotel at Highway 56 and Interstate 26 in Clinton will add to the accommodation choices for visitors to Laurens County.

Located near the intersection of Interstates 26 and 385 in Clinton, the park offers easy access to the coastal ports as well as the Charlotte and Atlanta metropolitan areas.
WATER RUNS THROUGH IT – The Laurens County Water and Sewer Commission serves a large portion of rural Laurens County.
