Neighbors with Georgia to the west, Jasper County currently boasts an ever-increasing population of 21,809 residents, which spans across its 662 square miles of land.
Two incorporated towns reside within the county – Ridgeland, the county seat, and Hardeeville. Ridgeland, known as the Heart of Lowcountry, is comprised of 2,637 people and affords a strong cultural atmosphere and abounding recreation. Hardevillle, encompassing a population of 1,850, is a community that has been seeing a gradual growth in recent years. Both Ridgeland and Hardeeville exude that small-town charm that so many have come to appreciate in the area.
