The deep-rooted culture and traditions of Rapid City is palpable in the arts. Dahl Arts Center boasts classes, visual arts exhibits and more. This arts center is owned by the city and works to promote the appreciation and understanding of the arts through a variety of different avenues.
APEX Gallery is a different type of gallery in that it is highly educational, displaying science exhibits and educational art. This may be because it is located on the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology campus. Talent abounds at the APEX Gallery as quite a few are internationally and nationally recognized.
Black Hills Playhouse, located at Custer State Park, brings the performing arts to the Black Hills. Each season is filled with Broadway-caliber performances of many well-known plays.

Sioux Pottery in Rapid City, is a purveyor of authentic pottery created by Sioux Indian artists.
