Letter from the 2007 First Vice Chairperson

Duncanville

I am excited about the changes I see happening in our city. I have supported these changes for the past eight years and look forward to the many more changes that are on the drawing board. Duncanville as a city needs to support the businesses that are located here. If we shop here first, we will maintain the businesses we have and encourage new businesses to locate here to give us and our visitors a broader selection of goods and services.

Our Chamber is a vital partner with the city and our school district. I am lucky enough to be involved in all three organizations as each works toward their individual but related goals. We are the City of Champions and each of us want to have successful businesses for our shopping, service and medical needs, have good, well-maintained and affordable housing, and have educational opportunities so our children can receive a quality education in a safe environment.

As I look forward to my year as Chairman, I am planning on some major events that will benefit us all and will encourage one of our strong points, which is volunteering within our community. We will continue to enhance business growth through networking opportunities, promoting all businesses, old and new, and providing a resource for all of our members and the citizens of the City of Champions.

Please join me as we continue our journey to make Duncanville a better place to live, work, shop, relax and enjoy our families.
