Source of Outdoor Fun

Ennis, receiving over a million visitors each year, offers endless opportunities for recreation among its acres of parks and open spaces. As one of Texas’ first Tourism Certified Communities, Ennis boasts 16 city parks covering 140 acres of land with several golf courses.

Lake Bardwell, one of the community’s main attractions, is a sparkling, 3,500-acre haven for water skiing, fishing, swimming, boating and camping. Lake Bardwell also offers hiking trails and an equestrian trail. Drawing half a million visitors annually, Lake Bardwell guarantees great outdoor fun.

Other popular destinations include the Ennis Country Club, which is home to a modern 18-hole golf course, in addition to a restaurant, pro shop, and helpful staff.

Skaggs All-Star Bowl, the Galaxy Drive-in Theatre, Lion Tennis Center and Lion Memorial Stadium are also popular centers for activity.
