theater

With so much to experience in Graham, the only question people have is what to do first. Events planned throughout the year celebrate local heritage and holidays. Annual festivities include the Graham Concert Association Series, a year’s worth of professional music concerts and entertainers, held at the Graham Memorial Auditorium.

The historic downtown square is center stage for the 4th of July festivities in Graham where activities of the day include a pancake breakfast in the American Legion Building, honoring military personnel, and celebrating freedom with a home-spun parade that wraps around the square and includes all the charming elements of a hometown celebration. Children on bicycles, go-carts, floats and horses as well as decorated floats make this event a perfect way to celebrate freedom. The Christmas Stroll and Lighted Christmas Parade also feature shopping and entertainment on the square along with a warm and welcoming Chili Supper. The Christmas Stroll and Lighted Christmas Parade is a treasured Graham tradition that kicks off the holiday season. Art Splash on the Square, scheduled for the third Saturday in May, is a free event that showcases the very best of fine art and entertainment.

Other attractions in the area include historic movie houses and family-friendly entertainment centers. The National Theatre is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built on the downtown square in 1919, the theatre screens first-run movies every night. During summer months, the Graham Drive-In Theater shows first-run and recent release movies on weekend evenings.
