Henderson is located in central East Texas in the Piney Woods – near U.S. 79, U.S. 259 and TX 43-64. Henderson’s location allows convenient transportation to Dallas 150 miles west, Houston 175 miles south and Shreveport, Louisiana 75 miles east.
The city also offers businesses a general aviation airport, with the nearest commercial airport in Longview – a mere 18 miles away. The Shreveport airport serves passenger traffic. Rail transport is provided by a Union Pacific spur, and six trucking firms have established routes through Henderson.
