Hereford has a number of beautiful parks where families and groups can go for picnics, playing sports, and to get acquainted with neighbors.

Dameron Park, located in the heart of Hereford, is the site for many community wide celebrations. This large park has playground equipment, sand volleyball courts, and picnic tables scattered throughout the area.

Veteran's Park, located in the Southeast area of town, is the site of the new Spicer Gripp Rodeo Arena.

The Aquatic Center Park, located in the northeast corner of Hereford, provides a walking track, picnic areas, fishing pond, and free RV hook-ups (a waste dump is located nearby). A pavilion can be reserved for large picnic groups such as family reunions.

The Aquatic Center is equipped with a 25 meter pool and a 3 foot deep leisure pool that supports a 115 foot spiral water slide. A small wading pool also has a toddler size slide. The inflatable dome cover over the 25 meter pool allows for free style swimming, lap swimming, water aerobics classes, and rehabilitative therapy year-round. Swimming instruction is available for all ages and abilities. The center accommodates 300 swimmers daily during the summer months and 750 water aerobics participants monthly.

SPORTS ACTIVITY SITES
- The YMCA located adjacent to the Aquatic Center, offers year-round basketball, volleyball, handball and wallyball courts. The YMCA also has a well-equipped weight room.
- Tennis courts on Hickory Street are lighted for night play and available for public use.
- Kids Incorporated and the City of Hereford offer a number of T-ball, baseball and hockey fields at several locations throughout the city.
- Rodeo arenas include the Spicer Gripp Arena, B Bar S Indoor Arena, and Circle A outdoor arena.
- The Hereford Recreational Center houses the bowling alley, arcade and snack bar.
- The John Pitman Municipal Golf Course is one of the finest in the Panhandle area. The turf is always in pristine condition.
