In addition to local news and sports, radio station KPAN (860 AM and 1060 FM) plays predominately country/western music with Spanish language programming in the evenings. Local station KNNK (100.5 FM) advertises "positive programming" with a mixture of contemporary Christian, gospel, and easy listening in addition to local and national news. La Radio Cristiana broadcasts in Hereford at 88.1 FM with various Spanish Christian programming. Hereford Cablevision supplies Hereford with a 45 channel basic package with other channels available. Hereford Cablevision also maintains a televised community bulletin board which includes current local weather conditions. Local telephone service is provided by Southwestern Bell and West Texas Rural Telephone, which is also a local Internet service provider. Local dial up to Amarillo, Canyon, and Dimmitt are part of Southwestern Bell's service to Hereford. Cellular One of Hereford and XIT Cellular are the local cell phone companies. Deaf Smith Electric Cooperative and Southwestern Public Service Company supply electrical service to residents and businesses of Deaf Smith County and beyond. Natural gas is supplied to the city of Hereford residents and businesses by the Energas Company. Enermart, an Energas sister company, supplies natural gas to residents and businesses outside of the city limits.
