Rich & Valuable Resources

Texas has had a rich and valuable history, and as a result is very committed to the preservation and education of its historical resources. As a community with a vibrant artistic culture, Hewitt, Waco, and surrounding areas also offer an endless number of museums, galleries, theaters, venues and attractions. Baylor University's Mayborn Museum Complex, The Waco Art Center, the Taylor Museum of Waco History, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame, the Dr. Pepper Museum and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, provide continuous cultural exhibits for Greater Hewitt Area residents.

The Waco Civic Theater, McLennan Community College and Baylor Drama Department take the stage for performances throughout the year. The Waco Symphony, Baylor School of Music and other performers at the Heart of Texas Coliseum, Ferrell Center and Waco Hall all exhibit their musical talents.
