Hewitt's proximity to IH-35 provides for easy access to the rest of the state and nation. Rail service from the Santa Fe railway also connects Hewitt to major distribution centers. The 900-acre McGregor Municipal Airport, only 15 minutes away, provides air service for single and multi-engine aircraft as well as helicopters. Waco Regional Airport is served by two commercial airlines.
