Welcome To Killeen

building

Business is booming in Killeen (population 112,000), which has prospered for more than a hundred years since its founding in 1882 by the Santa Fe Railroad to serve as a shipping station for cotton and cattle. Killeen is located in one of the fastest-growing economic corridors in the nation - an hour’s drive from Austin, three hours from San Antonio, four hours from Houston and three from Dallas. Airlines providing service to and from Killeen (40 flights daily) are American Eagle and Continental. Killeen is the home of Fort Hood, the Army’s premiere military installation.

Higher education is offered locally through Central Texas College, Tarleton State University-Central Texas and University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Approximately 100 churches in Killeen represent 20+ denominations.

Recreation here is plentiful with 31 parks, two swimming pools, 32 lighted tennis courts and a municipal golf course. Stillhouse Hollow Lake and Belton Lake are less than a 20-minute drive away.

Welcome To Harker Heights

Since the late 1950s, this lovely community has grown and prospered dramatically and now boasts a population of 21,000. Fort Hood is just a 10-minute drive west on the Central Texas Expressway.

Recreation in Harker Heights includes a new city park with jogging paths, walking paths, an exercise area and Junior Olympic swimming pool. Water sports enthusiasts are just a 10-minute drive from Stillhouse Hollow Lake; golfers can enjoy one of several nearby courses.

Welcome To Copperas Cove

The Cove is located 27 miles west of I-35 on U.S. Highway 190. Houston, Austin, Waco, Dallas and Fort Worth are within one to four hours driving time.

Copperas Cove (population 32,000) takes pride in its public schools and friendly neighborhoods, as well as being a “city built for family living” for the soldiers of Fort Hood and their families.

Welcome To Fort Hood

Fort Hood, covering 339 square miles of Central Texas, is the only Army post in the United States supporting two full combat divisions. In addition to the 1st Cavalry Division and 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized), the post hosts 12 other major military organizations and many smaller unit and tenant organizations. Fort Hood maintains a vital defense force for the United States and its allies around the world.
