In the Summer of 2010, Lake Travis played host to a “grand celebration of the boating lifestyle” and hosted the signature AquaPalooza "boat only" music event. Local boat dealer, Sail & Ski, was chosen by Sea Ray as its number one boat dealer in sales in 2010 and approached the owners, Rod Malone and Buzz Watkins about hosting the signature event in Lake Travis.
