As Mayor of Corrigan, Texas I would like to invite you to come and experience the serenity of the East Texas forest. Whether you’re looking to visit or relocate to the area, Corrigan has a lot to offer.
We are nestled in the Texas Forest Country and offer quiet, peaceful, country living. Timber, ranching and farming are the basis of the local economy and spawn an excellent environment for outdoor activities. Sportsmen and nature lovers enjoy Corrigan’s natural resources year round.
Located only a few miles from the Neches River and situated between Lake Livingston and Lake Sam Rayburn, some of the state’s best fishing and water sport venues are just minutes away. We have excellent hunting and a great environment for bird watching and hiking, not to mention some of the most beautiful foliage in Texas.
While maintaining our rural location and small-town charm, Corrigan offers excellent medical services, schools, churches and a diverse selection of local eateries. We are only 20 minutes away from the nearest mall and movie theater, and only a couple hours drive away from all of the amenities of the Houston Metroplex to include professional sporting arenas and the Texas Medical Center.
The Corrigan Community is rich in local history and has been in existence since the late 1800s, even though the City did not incorporate until 1938. We are very proud of our heritage and our lifestyle and would love to share our local folklore and ambiance with you – ya’ll come see us.
