

Mansfield is 20 miles from downtown Dallas and 18 miles from downtown Fort Worth. The burgeoning city is only 30 minutes from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, which is served by most major carriers and is the second busiest airport in the world. Mansfield is 40 minutes away from the nation’s first all-industrial airport, Alliance Airport. Several general aviation airports are located in surrounding cities including Arlington, south Dallas and south Fort Worth. Mansfield’s roadway network includes three major routes, plus access to the Metroplex’s six Interstates, 10 U.S. highways and 19 state highways.
Mansfield and the Metroplex are served by over 80 freight forwarding companies and approximately 500 motor carriers, plus an extensive rail system provided by Union Pacific that links the city to major markets throughout the nation.
Mansfield is bordered by Joe Pool Lake, a 7,500-acre reservoir. There are more than 300 developed and walk-in campsites, as well as 15 miles of biking trails. A marina, located on the Grand Prairie side of the lake, features boat docks, rentals and a restaurant. A lake is located in Cedar Hill State Park, with camping, fishing and other amenities.
