Mansfield’s medical district has become one of the city’s most exciting developments. It is home to Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, one of the newest full-service hospitals to serve the area in 30 years. Methodist Mansfield stands as a beacon of health, hope and healing, while providing modern, quality healthcare to Mansfield and the surrounding areas. Open in December of 2006, the new $134 million hospital offers medical care in a broad range of specialty services from diagnostic and primary care to cardiology, women and children’s services, and orthopedics, to name just a few of the 31 specialties.

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is a full-service facility featuring some of the latest patient-centered design, amenities and technology. Electronic medical records and bedside medication verification are just some of the technological advances that help ensure a safe and comforting environment for patients.

Methodist Mansfield has already earned awards and accreditation including the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations’ Gold Seal of Approval; the Metroplex Technology Business Council’s Tech Titans Award; and the Mansfield Rotary Club’s Organization of the Year Award.

A further source of excellent healthcare can be found through the Medical Center of Arlington (MCA), a full-service, acute-care medical center located in South Arlington. The hospital is staffed by over 500 knowledgeable physicians representing more than 40 medical specialties, along with 1,100 nurses, technicians, advocates and volunteers.

Since 1969, MCA has been providing its patient-base with the most up-to-date medical practices and technology, with a wide scope of services that range from Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Oncology and Women’s Services to Imaging and Diagnostics, Occupational Medicine, Neuroscience/Neurology/Neurosurgery and a variety of Outpatient Services.

What’s more, MCA hails as Tarrant County’s first JCAHO-designated Primary Stroke Center (February of 2006), as well as the county’s first certified Chest Pain Center – a classification that only one percent of hospitals in the U.S. have earned.

In addition, there are more than 60 other hospitals in the DFW Metroplex. Of special note is the Children’s Medical Center, internationally renowned for its treatment of childhood diseases, and Parkland Memorial Hospital, recognized as one of the nation’s finest trauma and burn centers. UT Southwestern is one of the country’s foremost teaching and research hospitals.
