On behalf of the citizens of the greater Mission area, we hope this publication will serve as a useful reference guide to our community. Mission is a dynamic community filled with proactive leaders working together to bring continued growth, prosperity and improved quality of life for our community. Mission is where the future begins and the past lives on, and with the current development of a historical museum, two new master planned communities, a new international bridge (due 2006), a newly completed public safety building and new city hall in the planning stages, Mission is on the move.

Drawn by the warm weather and friendly people, over 30,000 "Winter Texans" make Mission their winter home and become active, integral members of the community through their volunteerism and participation.
