Great Location and Trasportation
Oak Cliff is located in the southwestern quadrant of the City of Dallas and Dallas County — adjacent to the suburban cities of Grand Prairie, Duncanville, DeSoto, Lancaster and Hutchins. Its location makes it ideally suited for businesses to take advantage of the many forms of transportation in the area.
Oak Cliff has major multi-lane freeways along all four sides and bisecting it down the middle. These include I-30 on the northern edge, I-20 on the south, Loop 12/Spur 408 on the west, and I-45 on the east. I-35 (the NAFTA Highway) and Highway 67 run north and south through the middle of Oak Cliff. Oak Cliff has a great system of major and minor streets, and has few of the traffic tie-ups found in other parts of Dallas.
Dallas Executive Airport (located right in the center of the area) is owned by the City of Dallas, and is 30 minutes from Dallas’ Love Field and Dallas-Fort Worth international Airport. A new control tower, an operations building with a restaurant, and a conference center are under construction.
Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) operates light rail operations to South Oak Cliff and West Oak Cliff from Dallas. In addition to its superb system of bus routes that connect to light rail lines and bus transfer stations, DART operates a heavy rail line from Dallas’ Union Station to Fort Worth and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
