Rackspace isn’t the only new, high-tech addition to the area, the Northeast Independent School District’s Roosevelt High School is involved in a multi-million dollar renovation that will bring with it access to cutting-edge technological equipment and laboratories for area students to utilize.
We are a forward-thinking community whose citizens recently voted to make the city a home rule form of government, which gives more flexibility and power to local residents for controlling and directing changes. Located on the northeastern edge of San Antonio’s metro area and adjacent to the I 35 / Loop 410 interchange, Windcrest is less than 10 miles and about 10 minutes from major destinations, such as the airport, downtown San Antonio and the AT&T Center, home of the San Antonio Spurs. With the recent addition of our newest neighborhoods—the Winnbrook Estates and The Gardens of Windcrest—we have more than 2,400 outstanding homes.
