Metrocom residents have access to state-of-the-art medical facilities available within easy reach. The South Texas Medical Center in San Antonio (30 minutes away) offers a number of medical facilities including University Hospital, Methodist Hospital, the University of Texas Health Science Center and the Cancer Therapy & Research Center. In addition, Christus Santa Rosa, Nix Hospital and the Baptist Hospital System also offer comprehensive medical care. Level One trauma medicine is provided at the United States Air Force Wilford Hall Medical Center, located at Lackland Air Force Base, Brooke Army Medical Center, located at Fort Sam Houston, and University Hospital located in the Medical Center.
Closer to home is the Northeast Methodist Hospital. From a vision in 1985 to an inpatient and outpatient facility today that just recently opened a new emergency room, Northeast Methodist Hospital continues to expand its range of services and facilities to meet the healthcare needs of the Randolph Metrocom community.
From cardiac catheterization to the Breast Care Center, one of the busiest mammography centers in the country, Northeast Methodist Hospital is committed to addressing the community’s healthcare needs. The range of services offered include inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and physical therapy, imaging services, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, a 24-hour emergency department with board certified emergency medicine physicians, and the Wellness Center. Because of its outstanding reputation, medical providers covering every field of medicine are located in offices close to and adjacent to Northeast Methodist Hospital.
There are also various private medical services available in the Metrocom offering medical specialty clinics and dental services right in the neighborhood.
