A vibrant cultural community lies within San Angelo as well, with year-round musical presentations, theatrical productions, galleries and an exciting list of family-friendly events. The Bill Aylor Sr. Memorial River Stage welcomes a variety of shows including the annual Cactus Jazz and Blues Festival and the enormously popular July 3rd Symphony POPS Concert, while the adjacent San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts houses an acclaimed permanent collection and excellent traveling exhibitions. The San Angelo Symphony, Civic Ballet, Civic Theatre, Paint Brush Alley, Historic Murals and Chicken Farm Art Center are also integral parts of the cultural landscape of the city.
