Roxbury Farm & Garden Center
In 1929, the Brulle family moved its Roxbury Mills business to the City of Fredericksburg from its previous location in the Thornburg area. Since then, the business has expanded, moved to its current location at 601 Lafayette Blvd. and changed its name to Roxbury Farm & Garden Center.

Pratt Medical Center
Pratt Medical Center’s origins date back to 1936, when five independent primary care physicians came together due to the vision of Dr. Frank Pratt, who realized that patients could be better served by a group practice.

In 1937, Dr. Pratt and his four colleagues opened the Fredericksburg Medical Center at the corner of Prince Edward and Lewis streets.

Dr. Pratt retired in 1949, and his colleagues honored him by changing the organization’s name to the Pratt Clinic. Today it is located at 1701 Fall Hill Ave.

It now includes more than 30 providers and offers specialties ranging from internal medicine to obstetrics to cardiology. Extensive laboratory, radiology and other ancillary testing are available at Pratt facilities.
