Located
in Old Towne Petersburg is The Petersburg Regional Art Center. The building
dates back to 1915, and is used to display various works of art. There
are 65 studios that can be rented out to artists to display their work.
Items on display include oil paintings, ceramics, and photography pieces.
The Petersburg Regional Art Center used to be named Shockoe Bottom Arts
Center when it was in Richmond; now the center has a new home and a new
name with plenty of amazing art for everyone to enjoy.
Annual events and
festivals are also held in the Petersburg area. Feel free to check the
Petersburg Chamber of Commerce website for information on upcoming events
at: www.petersburgcc.com.
