Graduating seniors, college students and adults are furnished with a number of outstanding institutions of higher learning in and around the Virginia Peninsula region.

Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) – TNCC offers more than 60 associate’s degree, certificate and diploma programs in 40-plus fields of study. A knowledgeable faculty, flexible course scheduling, affordable tuition and two convenient locations in Hampton and Williamsburg (Historic Triangle Campus) make TNCC an excellent choice for recent high school graduates, current college students and college graduates looking to enhance their job skills.

Christopher Newport University (CNU) – More than 5,000 students enroll at CNU’s 260-acre Newport News campus annually. CNU is a public university offering more than 80 undergraduate and graduate majors and programs. Among the many distinguished features of CNU are its small class sizes, 100-plus campus clubs and organizations, state-of-the-art facilities and economical tuition.

Hampton University (HU) – HU is a privately-endowed, non-profit, historically black university offering a range of technical, liberal arts, pre-professional, professional and graduate degree programs to more than 5,700 students each year. Area employees and residents also take advantage of HU’s exceptional Continuing Education program.

Mary Baldwin College Regional Center – Mary Baldwin College on the Peninsula is conveniently located on the TNCC campus in Williamsburg. This regional center offers B.A. and B.S. degrees with more than 25 majors and minors, as well as a highly-rated Teacher Licensure program, customized corporate education, an Adult Degree Program and several certificate programs.

Strayer University – Strayer University was created to serve the working adult by offering high quality, affordable and convenient educational opportunities. The institution has locations in 16 states, including several in Virginia. Nearby campuses in Newport News, Virginia Beach and Chesapeake offer certificate, associate’s, bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in a variety of fields.

Saint Leo University (SLU) – While SLU’s main campus is based in Florida, the institution operates a number of continuing education centers in the area. Campuses in or near the Peninsula include the Chesapeake Office, Fort Eustis Center, Fort Lee Center, Langley AFB Center and the South Hampton Roads Center. Adult learners are provided opportunities to attain undergraduate and graduate degrees through flexible course scheduling both on-site and online.

Troy University – More than 60 campuses across the globe make up the extensive Troy University system—several of which are located in the Virginia Peninsula area. Students are supplied with a variety of educational programs leading to the completion of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as certificate programs.
