Mayor’s Letter
On behalf of the City Council and myself, I would like to welcome you to our community. I sincerely hope that our visitor's magazine will aid you as you explore all that we have to offer.
Our mission is one of partnership with our citizens, businesses and service organizations. We strive to facilitate a forward-looking, people-friendly community that champions diversity and respects the individual.
Colville is very committed to support our children in the community through the Colville Youth Commission and the Teen Advisory Committee (TAC). Our school district goes above and beyond in providing an excellent, safe learning environment for our children. Local campuses for Washington State University and Community College of Spokane are located here as well.
The excellent quality of life in Colville is further enhanced by the numerous recreational activities that are available within minutes of the City center. Whether you enjoy hiking through a pristine wilderness, fishing in one of the many surrounding lakes and rivers, or skiing down a snow-covered mountain, we offer something for everyone.
Colville is a vital crossroads in the area of transportation. Both state and federal highways converge on our community, facilitating the trade of goods and services on national and international levels. We are proud to support these services with continual improvements to our road systems through the Colville 2000 Project.
As you visit our great city, please be reminded that we appreciate your interest and are delighted to accommodate you as you discover and enjoy the many commodities and activities we provide.
Richard Nichols
