Perhaps the biggest draw to Woodinville is its Wine Country, which attracts more than half a million people from all over the world annually. This unique destination has been serving up classic wines since 1976, with the original establishment of Chateau Ste. Michelle. Today, it is home to more than 40 wineries, which beckon visitors to taste award-winning wines while finding respite in the vistas of the Sammamish River Valley.
Individual wineries are always bustling with exciting events and live music. One of the largest events found in Wine Country is the Passport to Woodinville Weekend in April. This weeklong event takes visitors through the many exclusive boutique wineries and presents the opportunity to taste and purchase special selections from some of the more well known wineries.
