Community spirit is alive and well and growing stronger in the DeForest/Windsor area. Dozens of clubs and organizations draw people together who are pursuing similar goals and interests. Young people join the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and 4-H, while adults, engaged in clogging, wrestling, football, snowmobiling, and square dancing, find a club that caters to their special interests. Service organizations such as the Knights of Columbus, Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions, Lioness, American Business Women, and the DeForest Area Chamber of Commerce provide networking opportunities for local businessmen and women and also sponsor a variety of events that benefit local charities and the community.
