Northland Pines School District serves approximately 1,450 K-12 students residing in Eagle River, St. Germain, Land O’ Lakes, Sayner, Conover and Start Lake, along with a small portion of Oneida County. Several facilities compose NPSD, including three K-5 schools (Land O’ Lakes, St. Germain and Eagle River Elementary Schools), one 6-8 school (Northland Pines Middle School), a new 9-12 school (Northland Pines High School) and the Phoenix Center Alternative Education High School. Supplementing the district’s traditional curriculum are programs such as the Head Start Collaborative Program, GED Program, Adult Learning, After-School Child Care and numerous extracurricular activities and clubs.
For local higher learning opportunities, Nicolet Area Technical College in Rhinelander is a great option. The public community college offers more than 60 academic programs, which lead to one- and two-year degrees, certificates and diplomas. In addition to traditional learning environments, Nicolet offers online courses, part-time options and evening classes for those in need of flexible education formats.
