Shopping in Fond du Lac
Shopping is fun in Fond du Lac! Finding just what you need is easy in the downtown business district, in an enclosed mall and at several shopping plazas throughout the city.
The downtown shopping area in the center of the city offers plenty of off-street parking in 18 municipal lots — including two parking ramps only a block or two off Main Street. Downtown has everything to satisfy shopping needs — drug stores, specialty shops, boutiques, sports stores, restaurants and more.
On Highway 23, just east of Highway 41 (the city’s west side), you find the Forest Mall is a climate-controlled facility anchored by Kohl’s, J.C. Penney, Younkers and Sears. Another 50 stores, shops and eateries line the mall’s concourses. More than a dozen other stores are located in Forest Plaza, which is directly across Highway 23 from the mall. These shops are anchored by Home Depot. Other shopping centers in the community include Fond du Lac Plaza, Pioneer Plaza and Southtown-Cobblestone Square.
Kristmas Kringle Shoppe, an all-year Christmas shop, is located conveniently off of Highway 41 and Main Street and offers a variety of world-class collectible holiday ornaments.
Many large department stores (Wal-Mart, Shopko, Target and Fleet Farm) are located at key points in the city — either freestanding or as the primary anchor for a strip mall. Supermarkets are also conveniently located throughout the city, usually as the focal point of a small shopping center.
